Made with a self-shielding Annular d'Arsonval movement, this meter can be installed in steel panels without requiring recalibration. The Pivot and Jewel suspension is spring-loaded for shock protection. The cover features the original Bakelite construction. This meter features 6V AC or DC flicker-free LED illumination. The LEDs draw approximately 60mA at 6V.
As a Simpson Authorized Modification and Repair Center, we keep the lead time short by stocking unfinished meters and completing final modifications and calibration in our laboratory. This meter, when produced this way, is not Underwriter Laboratories Recognized. In this case, we designed this meter movement based on old Simpson VU designs to come as close as possible to the original VU ballistic specifications.
