Includes plastic outer and lens, sealed together. An anti-static coating must be applied before installation. This can be done by allowing a mild solution of blue Dawn soap to dry on the surfaces. Alternatively, all surfaces of the cover could be rubbed with a dryer sheet, which is normally used as a fabric softener and is made for dissipating static charges. We never understood why Simpson doesn't apply the coating before packaging these.
